what profession should I go into?

I really want to do autodetailing but I don’t have the money to learn what I need to know, I know it takes more than just artstic ability. The nearest school to me is 4 hours away and I have a 2 year old and don’t want to be far from him. My other option is to be a bank teller my brother’s friend’s wife does it and she started as a teller and now is a bank executive she said that they’re hiring and the pay is good and you can move up positions fairly easily and if you need the education they’ll pay for the schooling the only thing is I don’t know if I’ll be happy doing that type of work. I know that I don’t want to do any restaraunt business or any data entry. I want a job that I can make a living at that can help support me and my son. My son’s father got deported so I have no child support from him. Also I live on Eastern Long Island in New York and my parents don’t want me to go far away but it is very expensive to live here.

If the bank is hiring, go for the teller position. Take the free education on offer and improve your status.If you have a 2 year old to support,money comes before happiness, I reckon.
I would take the job that allows you to support yourself and your son, and then, if at all possible, learn auto-detailing in your spare time. If you can’t find a formal school see if you can find a shop that does detailing closer to home. Ask them if they’d let you come in as an unpaid apprentice on one of your days off from the bank. You’ll likely have to be ok with doing some menial chores as part of it, but as long as they let you shadow the detailing guy for part of the time you are there you’ll probably learn a lot that will be useful for you if you wish to someday make it a career. You also meet people in the field and see what it’s actually like outside the classroom, which may be more valuable than just classes alone.
